The genesis story

Why Ideal Nurture exists

Ideal Nurture aims to build a therapeutic technology grounded foundationally in attachment science — work that takes the longing for a secure base seriously, and refuses to reduce care to a clever app or a fashionable, but ultimately hollow, possibly harmful, gimmick. The throughline across everything here: a technology's value is produced in the world it enters, not in the code, and is a subjective, intersubjective and entirely relational exchange — not only in the build but in the attunement to user, responsive delivery, iterative cycles of rupture and repair, fully participatory co-design, and a methodological pluralism that has no 'sacred cows' and emerges and recedes when it is only of service — just like an attachment figure should.

But before the gravity there was a sentimental fantasy, and it has a tender story at its heart — this genesis story, as your first stop, is the cradle from which every crawl, step and full bloom below may emerge.

California Review

A gathering of the best and brightest moved by this too — to weigh the viability of any path forward: if so, where, with whom, at what scale, and through which feedback loops and identities it should run, and how could something genuinely needed and considered equitably and renewably survive us? Inheritance's gravity itself becoming the dignity of nurtured legacy once more.
